Grading Policy
Communication – students should message me through Schoology with any questions or concerns. I am also on Teams from 8am-3:30, students may log in during my office hours for help.

Office Hours - 8:00-8:14 am
Period 3 and 4 9:50-11:50
after school 3:00-3:30

All students are expected to monitor and complete ALL assignments in Schoology and to monitor their grades in Infinite Campus. Students are expected to do their own, best work and ask questions to be successful.

Grades are determined from percentages of test scores, quizzes, projects/reports, assignments, classwork, class contributions…

Assignments approximately 30%
Test/Quiz/Projects approximately 40%
Class (Sync days) Contributions approximately 15%
Lab Average approximately 15%


Habitually Late assignments will lose points.
Communication and promptness is important.

 

 

Homework Policy
Asynchronous Days – Periods 1-5 on BDF and Periods 6-8 on ACE
a. Students are expected to complete the ASync Lesson in Schoology before the end of their scheduled class period.
b. Attendance is required for every ASync class/lesson and is recorded based on lesson completion. Students must join the Teams meeting if there is a problem with completing the assignment on time in order to be counted for attendance.
c. All ASyn Days – I am on our Teams meeting during class time for Students to join and ask any questions or go over lesson concerns. I may also require students to join Teams to address concerns.

Test Policy
All tests will be announced approximately 1 week in advance to ensure plenty of time to prepare. Students should make every effort to be present on the day a test is administered. Makeup tests will avail at a pre scheduled time and may be more difficult, attendance is imperative.

All students will be required to take a comprehensive examination-the June Chemistry Regents exam. (If given)

 

 

Quiz Policy
Quizzes will be announced approximately 2 days in advance.

Students should make every effort to be present on the day a quiz is administered. Attendance is imperative.
