Course Outline
In a nutshell, this is what we will uncover—

Unit 1—Revolutions: In Thoughts and Actions
• Absolutism (this is the power of a divine ruler)
• Scientific and Political Revolutions, and the reactions
• Nationalism and Imperialism around the world and through time

Unit 2—Crisis and Achievement: Becoming a Modern World
• Scientific and technical advancements and inventions
• Causes and effects of WWI, WWII, and the rise of communism

Unit 3—The 20th Century since 1945: Where we are today
• Causes and effects of Cold War
• Political, Social, and Economic effects of every “ism” we’ll learn about. (More about this later)

Unit 4—What we can expect in the future
• Political, environmental, social, scientific, and economic trends

In addition to what is written, there are many sub-topics that will be covered. These units are very wide, and it is up to us to narrow them down. The first few weeks of the school year will be spent in Unit 1. In this digital world timing is going to be fluid. We will work together on this. Mr. Bulan will post work on a weekly basis in Schoology.
